Perfect Love

Someone wrote the following description of true love:

Slow to suspect - quick to trust,
Slow to condemn - quick to justify,
Slow to offend - quick to defend,
Slow to expose - quick to shield,
Slow to reprimand - quick to forbear,
Slow to belittle - quick to appreciate,
Slow to demand - quick to give,
Slow to provoke - quick to conciliate,
Slow to hinder - quick to help,
Slow to resent - quick to forgive.

No doubt, this description reminds us of the one given by Paul in 1 Corinthians: "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

"The greatest of these is love."
1 CORINTHIANS 13:13
