When the circumstances of my life feel like a storm is blowing through--uprooting , flooding, twisting, burying--I can feel myself getting frantic, Father. I want to be able to do something to stop it, but I am powerless to change the course of something so beyond my control. And it's only when I stop flailing and grasping like a drowning swimmer that I realize I am being held by you, that you have not left me to brave the elements on my own. Whatever may be damaged, lost, or destroyed is also in your hands, and you are the one who restores, heals, and redeems, if only I will give you time to show me.
