FINDING PEACE IN THE STORM

[Jesus said,] "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
          -JOHN 14:27 NIV

I can picture the satellite hurricane pictures, Father. They show a huge swirling pattern of dangerous weather. But right in the center, there is an eye--a place of perfect peace. If a person could remain in that eye, even though there are deadly winds blowing all around them, they could ride out the storm unharmed. To me, Father, the world is one of those storms, and you are like the eye. Please hold me, carry me, keep me where your peace remains at all times, no matter what is going on around me.
